I’m really impressed with Vitamin C, also known as L. Ascorbic Acid. One spa I worked at at the very beginning of my career offered a Vitamin C facial. I remember how radiant my skin and my client’s skin looked afterwards. I never knew I could duplicate a $70 facial so cheaply and so simply! Some of you caught my post on Primally Inspired about a Vitamin C serum.
Honestly, I enjoy my Anti Aging Serum more than the Vitamin C, simply because I like the smell and the texture better than the vitamin C serum. The Vitamin C serum is great for people with lines and sun spots that they need to reduce quickly. Vitamin C is so beneficial that I couldn’t leave it out of my routine. So, weekly my skin enjoys a boost of Vitamin C via an invigorating mask! It’s simple and quick, and leaves skin radiant and glowing. Interested?
Vitamin C serves many purposes for the skin. It helps produce collagen in the skin. Collagen is what makes are skin look young and keeps our skin from forming wrinkles. Collagen is what you have in excess from about 0-20 years of age. Vitamin C also helps fade age and sun spots. Vitamin C is also a powerful antioxidant which attacks free radicals in the skin that are causing us to age prematurely. Vitamin C is one power pact vitamin!
This is a simple recipe that calls for L. Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C) and glycerin. You can leave it on your skin for 5-10 minutes and use once a week. All you need besides your l. ascorbic acid is glycerin! Just so you know-instead of glycerin, you can also use distilled water, coconut oil or aloe vera for oilier skin types or vitamin E, jojoba or olive oil for drier skin types.
I like glycerin because it is moisturizing and gives this mask a good slip. The main ingredient that is going to deliver the results is L. Ascorbic Acid. So, let’s get started! Use my links to find your Vitamin C powder, but if you find your own-always make sure your powder has an L in front of the Ascorbic-If it is not L. Ascorbic acid it is a synthetic from of Vitamin C and not pure.
